Wes Gibbins’ killer was finally revealed in the two-hour finale of How To Get Away With Murder season 3. It turns out that none of the prime suspects is guilty of the heinous crime.
Connor admitted to everyone that he was at Annalise’s house before the fire. He saw Wes unconscious in the basement. He already had no pulse when he arrived but Laurel is not convinced of his story. She thinks he killed her boyfriend and is not even feeling bad about it. She then walks out after telling him to just die.
Since the tragedy, Connor has been acting weird and keeps on pointing finger at Annalise. He may look unaffected but he is actually blaming himself for Wes’ death. The defence attorney believes that he is innocent and asks everyone to forgive him for his mistake.
The team continues to find ways to drop the charges against Annalise. They suspect that the Mahoneys are working with the DA’s office but they do not have enough evidence. Nate tails Atwood to help solve the case.
Laurel takes the stand since she was one of the victims of the fire. She narrates how she tried to save Wes by continuously pumping his chest after finding him unconscious in the basement. She uses Connor’s story but DA Denver debunks her testimony by pointing out that she once lied about being kidnapped.
Left with no choice, Connor approaches Denver to ask for a deal in exchange for helpful information. He finds a way to make things right but he is actually just making things worst.
