Apple iPhone 7 has just been released but everyone is already looking up to iPhone 8. The 2017 model will reportedly have features not yet present in other smartphones making consumers really excited.
It has become a tradition for Apple to upgrade its iPhone line every year. Every version is always better than its predecessor. iPhone 8 might not be just a better version but a whole new version. Recent reports reveal that the tech giant will use a different material for the casing of the upcoming device instead of metal.
Glass iPhone 8
Apple’s iPhone 8 will reportedly have a glass casing. The tech company will use wireless charging technology for the 2017 smartphone which will work better if the casing is made of glass. Wireless frequency issues will be avoided if glass is used making the speed of charging faster.
The wireless charger feature and all-glass casing have been predicted by KGI Securities analyst KGI Securities, according to Macrumors. If the said prediction happens, iPhone users be carrying glass sheets in the future.
Meanwhile, Apple is planning to use OLED display for iPhone 8 to reduce power consumption but the suppliers are not yet ready, as per Bloomberg. Other leading smartphone makers are already using the same kind of screen so the manufacturers might not be able to meet the demands.
iPhone 8 Specs
Apple is said to release three different models of iPhone 8. There will be a 4.7-inch, 5.5-inch and 5.8-inch model. The first two will have LCD screens while the third one will sport an OLED display. Additional features include dual optical image stabilisation (OIS) and 3D dual-lens camera.
Apple’s iPhone 8 will most likely be unveiled in September 2017. Stay tuned for more updates!
