Overwatch was declared as the Game of the Year at The Game Developers Choice Awards 2017. The multiplayer video game developed by Blizzard defeated Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Inside, Dishonored 2 and Firewatch which were also nominated for the same category.
Overwatch also won the prize for Best Design. The game which was initially released in May 2016 took home the top awards at the annual ceremony which ‘celebrates the creativity, artistry and technical genius of the finest developers and games.’
Inside, an adventure video game developed by Playdead won Best Visual Art and Best Audio. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End was not declared as the Best Game but won Best Technology.

The Game Developers Choice Awards 2017 was held at Moscone Convention Center, West Hall on March 1, 2017. The annual event recognises the efforts of game developers for creating great video games.
