Samsung is planning to do away with the home button of Galaxy S8. The 2017 flagship phone of the smartphone maker will have an all-screen design.
The physical home button will be replaced by a virtual one which will be embedded under the glass screen. Without the home button, the device will have wider viewing screen. The display of Galaxy S8 will make use of light-emitting diode technology.
Samsung is really taking its smartphone products to the next level. Galaxy S7 already has excellent features and functionalities but the 2017 version will be better.
The Tech Sensei has earlier reported that Galaxy S8 might be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. The processor can improve the performance of the upcoming device. It has Quick Charge 4.0 technology which will make charging faster. It can also reduce the power consumption by 40 percent.
Recent reports reveal that Samsung’s 2017 flagship phone will have an optical fingerprint scanner or an iris scanner. There might also be a virtual assistant but the South Korean smartphone maker is yet to confirm this.
Galaxy S8 is said to feature an 18-megapixel lens in the front for quality selfies and a 24-megapixel lens in the rear camera. Like its predecessor, the upcoming device will be available in two different versions. A 5.1-inch and a 5.5-inch Edge version will be released, as per Bloomberg.
Samsung Galaxy S8 might not be sold to the public in March, contrary to earlier reports. The company needs to test it thoroughly to avoid what happened to Note 7. It will most likely be made available in April 2017.
