Microsoft is aiming to release the ultimate mobile device. The tech giant desires to remain in the phone market and is reportedly preparing to launch Surface Phone under the Surface brand.
Microsoft Surface devices have been receiving positive feedbacks which ignited speculations about the release of Surface Phone. Chief Executive Satya Nadella earlier talked about the company’s plan to develop mobile devices that are unique and useful.
Nadella stated that Microsoft will not just copy what other smartphone makers are doing. The tech company will create mobile devices with capabilities that many people need, as per Australian Financial Review. Though he did not directly talk about Surface Phone, many believe that the chief executive is referring to the rumoured devices.
Microsoft Surface Phone Features
Microsoft Surface Phone is expected to have Windows 10 as its operating system. Since it is under the Surface brand, the features and functionalities will most likely be similar to that of Microsoft Surface devices. Recent reports reveal that it will have an OLED display and will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.
Surface Phone reportedly has two versions with different memory space. One will have 4 GB of RAM while the other will have 6 GB memory. A fingerprint security is said to be included. In terms of camera quality, the front lens will be at 8 MP for quality selfies while the rear camera will be at 21 MP.
Microsoft Surface Phone Release Date
The tech company has remained silent about the Surface Phone speculations. There are claims that Microsoft has codenamed it Panos Phone to keep it a secret until it is ready to be revealed to the public. The upcoming smartphone which might have a consumer and a business version is estimated to be released late in 2017.
